Loving people is easy… until they give you a reason not to. But Jesus calls us to love even those who hurt, frustrate or disagree with us. And honestly, that’s not easy. It doesn’t mean accepting being hurt or agreeing with everyone. It means refusing to let hatred take root in our hearts. So here’s the real question: could you pray for someone you find difficult to love? #LoveLikeJesus #Matthew5 #ChristianLiving

You can win the argument and still lose the person. Sometimes, being right becomes more important than showing love. But are we reflecting Jesus in the way we respond? Are you trying to win, or are you trying to love? #FaithInAction #TheMuddyCross #BibleWisdom #FollowJesus

In this episode of Unfiltered Faith, we’re having an honest, unscripted conversation about what’s been on our hearts lately. We talk about evangelism, finding creative ways to share our faith and the challenge of prioritising our time so we’re not just getting through life, but actually making a difference in the lives of others. It’s easy to say we want to serve God, help people and share the Gospel, but what happens when our diaries are full, our attention is elsewhere, and we don’t make room for the people who need us? Sometimes, living out our faith doesn’t mean doing something extraordinary. It might mean noticing someone others walk past, giving up a little of our time, offering practical help, or simply being willing to have a conversation about Jesus when an opportunity comes along. We’re not coming to you with a perfectly prepared message or all the answers. This is just us, talking openly about what God is teaching us, challenging us with, and reminding us about as we try to live out our faith in the real world. Because faith isn’t just about what we believe. It’s about how we live, the choices we make, and what we do with the time God has given us. Join the conversation and let us know in the comments: what’s one practical way you could use your time this week to make a difference in someone else’s life?

What if you stopped worrying about tomorrow? We want guarantees but God asks us to trust. Maybe faith is simply trusting Him with today and leaving tomorrow in His hands. What are you carrying today that belongs to tomorrow? #Faith #TrustGod #Jesus #Matthew634

We’re quick to call on God when life falls apart… But what about an ordinary Tuesday? The school run. The commute. Making dinner. The washing. Work. Maybe God isn’t just there for the moments we desperately need Him. Maybe He’s there in all of them. “Pray continually.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:17 Where could you make space for God today? #Faith #God #Prayer #Christian #FaithInTheEveryday #TheMuddyCross

What if nothing seems to be happening… but something is growing? We often mistake invisible growth for no growth. Your prayer. Your decision. Your act of kindness. You may not see the impact yet. 🌱 Some things grow where you can’t see them. #Faith #Jesus #Prayer #TrustGod #Christian

You can be angry with God and still talk to God. The Bible doesn’t tell us to hide what we’re feeling. It tells us to pour out our hearts to Him. Maybe honesty is better than silence. #God #Faith #Prayer #ChristianTikTok #TheMuddyCross

Why would Jesus spit on a blind man’s eyes - and why did the man still not see clearly after the first touch? Jesus had already shown that He could heal with a word or a touch. So Mark 8 is strange. Jesus takes the man outside the village, spits on his eyes, lays hands on him… and the man can see, but only partially. In this episode of The Muddy Cross Podcast, Dee and Jodie look at the unusual details of this miracle, the other occasions where Jesus uses spit or mud, and an intriguing possible connection to creation and restoration. But the biggest clue may actually be found in what Mark places around the miracle. The disciples have seen what Jesus can do, yet they still don’t fully understand. Peter recognises that Jesus is the Messiah, but moments later shows that he still doesn’t understand the full picture. Blindness. Partial sight. Clear sight. And suddenly the two-stage healing starts to feel much bigger than one man’s eyesight. Because sometimes seeing something isn’t the same as seeing it clearly. We can follow Jesus, believe in Him and genuinely know Him while still carrying assumptions, inherited ideas and perspectives that need greater clarity. And that may be the real challenge of this passage: What if the danger isn’t always being blind but assuming that because we can see something, we must already be seeing it clearly? By the end of this conversation, we come back to one simple prayer: Jesus, where am I not seeing clearly? What am I missing? Because Jesus didn’t leave the man with partial vision. And perhaps He doesn’t want to leave us there either. Scriptures discussed: Mark 8:22–33 Mark 7:31–37 John 9:1–7 Genesis 2:7 John 1:1–3 The Muddy Cross Podcast Beyond the what… into the why.
