The Muddy Cross Podcast is actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website and, in doing so, adhere to many of the available standards and guidelines. Our website is built using the Wix platform, which provides underlying accessibility features and tools. We are responsible for the accessible implementation of the content we add to the site, including:

 Non-Accessible Content and Third-Party Dependencies

 

We have identified areas where accessibility challenges may exist, primarily due to third-party tools that are outside of our direct control:

  • Embedded YouTube Content: The embedded video player from our YouTube channel is controlled by YouTube (Google). While YouTube aims for compliance, we cannot guarantee the accessibility of their player interface or the accessibility of captions on all older videos.

  • Print-on-Demand/Digital Store Interface: The e-commerce elements (checkout, product customisation features) are provided by Wix and/or external providers. While we configure these features for accessibility, their base code is managed by the provider.

  • Older Blog Media: Some older videos or audio on the missionary blog may be missing full transcripts or captions.

Remediation Plan: We are committed to an ongoing process of review. Our plan is to:

  1. Prioritize adding captions and/or transcripts to all new podcast and blog videos/audio.

  2. Regularly review the site using the Wix Accessibility Wizard and other auditing tools to identify and fix new issues.
